Dave went on to set up the charity Teams4U to enable many others to be able to have the opportunity and experience of working with and supporting vulnerable children and their families. For more information about us please see the following links.
Many children today find themselves in desperate and hopeless situations.
Through no fault of their own they often face impossible circumstances.
We strive to give these children a second chance by helping them recognise and appreciate their own self worth. Through activities, such as soccer teams, children’s activity teams, work and specialist teams, educational support and sponsorship and projects and programmes, we build self respect and equip children with foundational life skills.
All our activities focus both directly and indirectly around the lives of children, enhancing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs to open up a future a world away from their past.
Teams4U is a charity set up by the founder of Operation Christmas Child, Dave Cooke. In 1990 Dave was moved by the needs of the people of Romania and felt helpless to do anything on his own. Dave shared his feelings with others and found that he was not alone. He was able to put a team together and took aid to the orphanages of Romania. Dave and many of that first team went on to set up Operation Christmas Child.
