Jack Standard School Dormitory

A School Dormitory

Due to high levels of poverty in the area, families unable to afford to keep their children are often forced to abandon them. Therefore the school has a number of children sleeping there with nowhere else to go. The current facilities are very basic and crowded; therefore the first priority for Jackson has been to build a brand new dormitory with proper beds and electricity.

Teams4U has provided the funds to build this dormitory. It has been designed and constructed using locally employed people; however we have also had teams visit from UK to provide some extra hands on support.

The dormitory is almost complete but still requires beds and electricity. This will be a girls dormitory, therefore Jackson would also like to build a second dormitory to house the boys.

Where We Work

Our work is varied and diverse. In Eastern Europe, through one programme, we are sponsoring the care and education of abandoned children;

In another project we are helping to refurbish an orphanage where children who lived in sewers, are now being offered a home.
