Water Tanks for Uganda

Water Tanks for UgandaWater Tanks for Uganda

Teams4U has been raising money to install water tanks at the Jack Standard School in Uganda.

About the water tanks

The tanks are placed at the end of the classrooms or other school buildings and connected by pipes to the roof. The rainwater runs off the roof and into the tank where it is stored before it is released by a small tap at the base.

The tank provides water to all the children that attend the Jackson Standard School. It is also open for the whole community to use. Our partner Jackson ensures the water in the tanks is regularly sterilised so that it is completely safe for the people of Nangunga community to drink.

More tanks needed

These tanks are really important to ensure people have access to safe drinking water which prevents diseases. At present we have installed 2 tanks at the school, but there are bases now built for a further 3 to be put in place, we just need the funds to purchase the tanks.

The cost of a complete water tank is £1,000

If you would like to make a full or part contribution towards a new tank for the school please contact us.

Where We Work

Our work is varied and diverse. In Eastern Europe, through one programme, we are sponsoring the care and education of abandoned children;

In another project we are helping to refurbish an orphanage where children who lived in sewers, are now being offered a home.
