Due to high levels of poverty in the area, families unable to afford to keep their children are often forced to abandon them. Therefore the school has a number of children sleeping there with nowhere else to go.

The current facilities are very basic and crowded; therefore the first priority for Jackson has been to build a brand new dormitory with proper beds and electricity.

Teams4U has provided the funds to build this dormitory. It has been designed and constructed using locally employed people; however we have also had teams visit from UK to provide some extra hands on support.

The dormitory is almost complete but still requires beds and electricity. This will be a girl’s dormitory; therefore Jackson would also like to build a second dormitory to house the boys.
