Sport Teams

For many of these children life is hard and their parents often don't have the time to play with them as they try to earn money for food and shelter.

Sports camps are a great way to provide children with the opportunity get away from the hardships of their life, and experience something of a normal childhood. This also helps them to feel valued through a sense of belonging to a team as well as the chance to play and have fun with other children.

Teams4U has run several soccer camps which have proved a great success and the children love them. Whilst we teach them basic technical soccer skills, our ultimate aim is to equip them with life skills and help them to understand values such as trust, respect, teamwork and loyalty.

We aim to take out the football kits and equipment which is left with them so that they can continue to improve their skills. In the past these have been donated by teams such as Liverpool FC, Newcastle United, as well as schools and children's sports teams throughout the UK.

You do not have to be a professional sports coach to attend one of these camps - the key attributes are that you can play, have fun and build relationships with the children.

Where We Work

Our work is varied and diverse. In Eastern Europe, through one programme, we are sponsoring the care and education of abandoned children;

In another project we are helping to refurbish an orphanage where children who lived in sewers, are now being offered a home.
